Sidewalk Repair Program
Sidewalks serve an important function within the City of Chillicothe. They provide a walking path to schools, businesses, and community events. They separate pedestrians from vehicular traffic, improving safety, and they connect residents, making a neighborhood a community. Well maintained sidewalks improve the appearance of neighborhoods and increase property values.
In accordance with Chillicothe Codified Ordinance 903.01, property owners are responsible for the maintenance and repair of faulty or defective sidewalks, curbs and gutters abutting their property. The Sidewalk Repair Program provides supporting funds to share the costs of sidewalk maintenance and repair with the property owner. The city will contribute 50% up to $2000 for sidewalk repairs and 50% up to $3000 for projects that must include curb and gutter.

Application Period
Before applying the applicant should receive an estimate for the sidewalk repair job from a licensed professional. Next, submit your application that includes your contractor's estimate and photos to sidewalk@chillicotheoh.gov.
